Incheon National University's Life Science Classroom (Director Han Ki-soon, professor of Creative Human Resources Development), announced on October 30 that it conducted 3D printer modeling training for 33 second-year students at Baengnyeong High School as part of the Visiting Science Class program. This program is designed to help students experience advanced technologies firsthand and improve their creative problem-solving skills.
Students took systematic 3D modeling classes at Incheon National University LINC 3.0 Shared Collaboration Studio at Incheon National University Michuhol Campus, the Computer Education Office at the College of Education, and the education center at Incheon Techno Park Automobile Industry Center. Through this training, students learned the principles of operation of 3D printers and the basics of modeling, and learned how to design them that can actually be printed out.
Students at Baengnyeong High School learned how to turn ideas into reality through 3D modeling and made their own unique key rings and seals, which were very popular. One student said, "The technology of 3D printers that can produce ideas in real life was very interesting and beneficial."
Baekryeong High School's vice-principal expressed his gratitude for the program, saying, "I was happy to have a precious opportunity for children to experience 3D printer modeling firsthand and produce prints."
This program served as an opportunity to show how the advanced technology called 3D printers positively affects learning and future career exploration. Han Ki-soon, director of the Life Science Class at Incheon National University, said, "We are very happy to experience the process of converging technology and creativity through 3D printing and modeling, and we will continue to provide beneficial opportunities to local communities and students through various educational programs."
Incheon National University's Science and Gifted Education Institute is carrying out projects such as the Incheon Science and Culture Center, Incheon National University Cyber Gifted Education Center, Life Science Class, Science Touch Incheon on Friday, and Gifted Kiwoom, and holds various events to revitalize science culture. All projects and events can be found in detail on its website (http://www.inuisge.kr ) and SNS.
