Professor Park Young-eun of the Department of Trade and Graduate Tourism Convention Entertainment at Incheon National University and Kim Min-ji of the Master's Program in the Department of Tourism Convention Entertainment

Professor Park Young-eun of the Incheon National University (President Park Jong-tae) and master's program student Kim Min-ji of the Department of Tourism Convention and Entertainment (Director: Park Young-eun) won the K-Contents Prize at the 42nd Autumn Conference of the Korean Society of Product Studies (Location: Sookmyung Women's University, Date: Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024). 

This paper, titled "A Case Study on Drama Content Products Using Metabus: Centering on Drama <Spirit> and <If Land>, examines how metaverse technology, which has emerged as a keyword of the 4th industrial revolution since the era of digital trade and the era of Corona, has been applied differently in each stage of production of drama content, and establishes a global management strategy for the Korean Wave business based on this. 

  This paper has made a significant contribution to domestic Korean Wave research as it combines the perspectives of Hallyu and global strategies with K-content (intangible products and services) that has settled as a popular genre in the world beyond the scope of traditional trade centered on tangible products (products). 

This year, the newly established Department of Tourism Convention Entertainment in the Department of Trade at Incheon National University (department head: Professor Ok Woo-seok) was established by Professor Jinyoung Jung, an expert in tourism, convention, and MICE, and Professor Park Young-eun, an expert in global Hallyu, cultural content, and entertainment management, which is in the spotlight as the first and only department in the Seoul metropolitan area and National University. Kim Min-ji, the first master's student at the graduate school, is a key member of the Global K-Culture Lab run by Professor Park Young-eun and a graduate of the Department of Trade at Incheon National University, which greatly contributed to enhancing the status of the newly established Department of Tourism Convention Entertainment in the Department of Trade through excellent papers. 

Incheon National University is located in Incheon, the gateway to Korea, and Songdo International City, Incheon, which has established itself as a world-class international city as a base national university in the region. At a time when the status of the global Korean Wave is increasing and the importance of the Korean Wave business is growing, the leading role of Incheon National University and the independent activities of students are shining more.
